Tommaso Salvini
Tommaso Salvini (born January 1, 1829 in Milan , † December 31, 1915 in Florence ) was an Italian actor .
Life
Tommaso Salvini revealed a talent for the theater early on. At the age of 14 he became a member of FA Bons Theatergesellschaft and later moved to the ensemble of the famous Gustavo Modena . He then got an engagement with the Compagnia Reale in Naples and from there he was engaged by the entrepreneur Luigi Domeniconi , in whose troupe he successfully played alongside the Adelaide Ristori .
After six years he withdrew from the stage for a while to devote himself to studying the classical repertoire. Then a member of the Dondinische Gesellschaft , played Salvini from 1864 to 1867 with the Florentines and finally placed himself at the head of his own troupe with which he gave guest performances in many places.
Not only in Paris, also in Portugal, Spain, England, yes in North and South America, also in Vienna and Berlin, he performed with brilliant success. Salvini was perhaps the most important contemporary actor and had an almost admirable internalization of the game. While Ernesto Rossi was a realist, Salvini was idealist to the highest degree.
