Tonči Peribonio

Tonči Peribonio (born May 3, 1960 ) is a Croatian handball coach and former handball player .

During his career as an active player, Peribonio was a handball goalkeeper . He played in the Spanish league ASOBAL 1991/92 for Gáldar Tres de Mayo and for the Croatian top club RK Zagreb , with whom he won the European Cup in 1993 and was Croatian champion twice. With Brodomerkur Split he took part in the EHF Cup in 1997/98 and 1998/99. In Germany he played for TSG Balingen , SG Pforzheim / Eutingen , TSV Birkenau and from 2011 at TSV Wieblingen.

Peribonio works as a head coach, goalkeeper and youth coach. He initially looked after a Croatian club, then TSV Birkenau, the women of HSG Mannheim and, since 2012, the women of TSG Ketsch .

With the Yugoslav national junior team, Peribonio became vice world champion. With the Yugoslav national team , he won the Balkan Cup and the Mediterranean Games . With the Croatian national team he again won the Mediterranean Games in 1993 and the bronze medal at the European Championship in 1994 . Peribonio played a total of 150 international matches .

Tonči Peribonio is married and has two sons. Roko Peribonio is also a handball goalkeeper and is under contract with the Rhein-Neckar Löwen .
