Toni Radić

Toni Radić (born August 11, 1967 ) is a Croatian basketball coach .

career

Radić was active during his playing career for various clubs in what was then Yugoslavia, in the 1992/93 season then for SC Rist Wedel in the German regional league.

As a trainer, he mainly looked after youth teams in the greater Hamburg area from 1993, and then between 1996 and 1998 he worked as a youth trainer at the Croatian club BC Šibenik, for which he had once played himself. He also worked for the organization “Youth Basketball of America” as the leader of basketball camps and represented the organization in Croatia and Slovenia. In the 1999/2000 game year Radić was the assistant coach of the basketball team at Lake Region High School in the US state of Florida .

In the 2001/02 season he was an assistant coach on the staff of the Bundesliga club Mitteldeutscher BC and temporarily jumped in as head coach after the MBC had separated from Tom Schneeman . Between 2003 and 2005, Radić was in the service of the Russian Basketball Association and, among other things, took care of individual training units for young players as well as camps and training events for players and coaches. In the summer of 2003 he was employed as an assistant coach during the summer league in Treviso, Italy , in the summer of 2004 he held the same position with the Los Angeles Clippers during the NBA summer league .

In March 2007 he was hired as head coach at the German second division club BV Chemnitz 99 and remained in office until the end of the 2006/07 season. From November 2007 he was interim coach of the Luxembourg club Etzella Ettelbrück , at the beginning of 2008 he worked for around two months as the head coach of AB Contern (also Luxembourg). In 2009 and 2010 he was active as a trainer and manager of the Croatian club KK Otok Murter. In mid-December 2010 he took over as coach at the German second division USC Freiburg ( 2nd Bundesliga ProA ) until the end of the season . He worked for a company that organizes student exchanges, followed by coaching activities for TSV Uetersen and BC Quickborn in the 2013/14 season. In the 2014/15 season he coached SV Fellbach (2nd regional league).

For the 2017/18 season he took up the position of head coach at the Croatian first division club KK Hermes Analitica.
