Torben "Turbo" Wosik (born October 8, 1973 in Hamm ) is a former German table tennis player . He was German champion in men's singles in 1999 and 2008 .

Torben Wosik won the 78th German National Table Tennis Championships on March 30, 2008.

World Cup second men’s team 2004 , 2nd place DTTB Top 12 2004, EM second place 2003 (men’s singles), EM second place 1990 , 2000 and 2002 (men’s team), World Cup third 1997 (men’s team), 2nd place Brazilian Open 2002 (men's doubles), semi-finalist Swedish Open 1999 (men's singles), winner of the European League 1999, 2000 and 2001, winner of the European Nations Cup 1998, German champion 1999, 2008 (men's singles), five-time German champion in doubles, six times German master in mixed. German cup winner 2005.

Wosik is right-handed from birth. When he saw his idol Stellan Bengtsson playing with his left hand in the early 1980s , he switched his own game to the left hand. He does all other things with his right hand.

Already in 1986 he reached 3rd place in the German student championship in singles and 2nd place in doubles (with Volker Scheibke). In 1987 he and Sandra Nienhaus won the European Mixed School Championships. In 1988 he was European champion in singles and with the German school team in Novi Sad, in 1989 he won the doubles title (with Joseph Hong). In 1990 he won the European youth ranking tournament Europe TOP-12 as well as the individual competition of the European youth championship in Hollabrunn, and in 1991 the DTTB-TOP 12 tournament. Wosik played his first international match on April 10, 1990 at the European Championship against Poland, he won against Piotr Molenda .

His last success was winning the 2008 German championship in men's singles.

In 2013 Torben Wosik ended his career as a competitive athlete and joined the Bayern league club TSV 1860 Ansbach . For the second half of the 2016/2017 season he moved to the OTB in Oldenburg to play with Steffen Fetzner and Peter Franz .

Torben Wosik was married to table tennis player Elke Schall from December 2001 to 2008 . Since August 2009 he has been married to Alla, a Russian, with whom he has a son (* 2010). His older brother Ralf Wosik was also a well-known table tennis player.
