Gates Lokoloko
Sir Tore Lokoloko , GCMG , GCVO , OBE (born September 21, 1930 in Iokea , Gulf Province , Papua New Guinea , † March 13, 2013 in Port Moresby ) was a Papua New Guinean politician .
biography
The son of the Paramount Chief ( Paramount Chief ) Lokoloko Tore attended Sogeri High School founded in 1940 by Australia . He began his political career from 1968 to 1972 when he was elected a member of the House of Assembly in the Australian-administered trust territory .
On March 1, he was appointed Governor General of Papua New Guise to succeed Sir John Guise . During his term of office, Queen Elizabeth II made a state visit in 1977 on the occasion of her silver jubilee . He was named Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St. Michael and St. George . In addition, Elizabeth II made him Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order . On March 1, 1983, Kingsford Dibela succeeded him as Governor General.
Sir Tore Lokoloko then became CEO of Indosuez Niugine Bank and remained in this position until 1989.
