Tornau is a district of the city of Graefenhainichen in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Tornau is about five kilometers north of Bad Düben in the Dübener Heide nature reserve .
history
Tornau belonged to the Electoral Office of Düben until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna the place to Prussia came only in 1816 the district Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of Saxony Province allocated to which he belonged until 1944th
On January 1, 2011, Tornau was incorporated into the city of Graefenhainichen.

- Beaver stele in the Hammerbach valley on the border between Saxony-Anhalt and the Free State of Saxony. They symbolize the elimination of national borders.
- Charcoal burning on the Eisenhammer as the last producing charcoal burning plant on the Düben Heath with a small zoo and a demonstration model of an old charcoal kiln
- Replica of a half-mile column from 1723 with the row number 18 at the intersection of the B 2 with the K 2029 Schköna-Söllichau in Eisenhammer; Original parts of the Tiefensee windmill have been preserved as the Saxon Post Mile Pillar Bad Düben .
- Gesundbrunnen , a source of iron that is low in sodium and nitrite in the forest of the Düben Heath

The Federal Highway 2 , the Leipzig and Wittenberg connects through Tornau. The state road 130, which connects the federal highways 2 and 183/107, crosses the place.
