Tornau is a district of the city of Graefenhainichen in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .

Tornau is about five kilometers north of Bad Düben in the Dübener Heide nature reserve .

history

Tornau belonged to the Electoral Office of Düben until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna the place to Prussia came only in 1816 the district Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of Saxony Province allocated to which he belonged until 1944th

On January 1, 2011, Tornau was incorporated into the city of Graefenhainichen.
