The Touloubre is a river in France that runs in the Bouches-du-Rhône department , in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises in the municipality of Venelles , crosses the northern suburbs of Aix-en-Provence and initially drains in a generally westerly direction. At Grans , the Touloubre suddenly turns south and after a total of 59 kilometers flows into the Étang de Berre , a lagoon lake in the municipality of Saint-Chamas , which is connected to the Mediterranean Sea .
