The Tour de Normandie 2016 was the 41st Tour de Normandie , a road bike race in France in the Normandy region and took place from March 21 to 27, 2016 . The stage race was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2016 and was classified in category 2.2 .

The cycle race is mainly characterized by the wind , because you ride along the sea, but also through steep hills .

It started with a prologue and then 6 more stages were held. The winner of the race was Baptiste Planckaert from Belgium from the Wallonie Bruxelles-Group Protect team, ahead of his compatriot Olivier Pardini from Wallonie Bruxelles-Group Protect . Third place in the overall ranking went to Frenchman Benoît Sinner from the Équipe Cycliste de l'Armée de Terre .
