Lucas Liß (born January 12, 1992 in Unna ) is a German racing cyclist who is active on the road and track .

Athletic career

As a student, Lucas Liß became German runner-up in road racing and team time trial in 2006 (with Kai Exner, Sven Schöne and Marvin Pfannschilling). He also won the 14th Int. Kids tour in Berlin and the 9th South Palatinate tour . In 2007 he took sixth place in the DM road race and was German runner-up in the team pursuit on the track in the Berlin Velodrom (with Daniel Mrosek, Raphael Shakoor and Stefan Barufke).

The following year, Liß stood on the podium four times as a junior at the German track championships: He was second in the 500-meter time trial , in the two-man team race with Hans Pirius and in the single pursuit . In the team pursuit, he and his team (Pirius, Jan Radermacher , Max Stahr ) took third place. In 2009 he also achieved podium places in German championships by finishing second in the two-man team and in the team pursuit and third in the single pursuit. In the same year Liß started for the first time at the Junior World Championships in Moscow and won bronze in the team pursuit on the track (with Nikias Arndt , Kersten Thiele and Christopher Muche ).

In 2010 Liß won two bronze medals at the Junior Track World Championships in Montichiari , after he had also won bronze in Moscow the year before . At the 2011 European Railway Championships for youngsters in Saint Petersburg , he took two second places, in the team pursuit (with Jakob Steigmiller , Johannes Kahra and Theo Reinhardt ) and in the Omnium . At the German championships this year he won two junior titles, in the team pursuit (with Ruben Zepuntke and Hans Pirius) and in the two-man team driving, also with Pirius.
