With two medals, Stefan Bötticher was the most successful German participant in the world championships.

The UCI Juniors Track World Championships 2010 were from 11 to 15 August in Velodromo Fassa Bortolo in Italy Montichiari instead.

Four junior world records were set at these world championships . The Australian Amy Cure achieved a new best time in the qualification of the single pursuit with 2: 22.499 minutes. The French trio with Benjamin Edelin , Kevin Guillot and Julien Palma also qualified for the final in the team sprint with a new world record time (45.402 seconds), as did the Russian women's team with Jekaterina Gnidenko and Anastassija Woinowa (35.029 seconds). In the team pursuit, the Australian drivers Michaela Anderson , Isabella King and Amy Cure won gold with a world record time of 3: 26.808 minutes.
