Robert Kriegs

Robert Kriegs (born October 12, 1984 in Berlin ) is a former German racing cyclist . He was a member of the national team of the Federation of German Cyclists (BDR) and ended his cycling career on January 25, 2008.

Most important successes

Robert Kriegs was a member of the German national cycling team from 1999 to January 2008 and collected a total of three German championship titles at national championships, one in the individual pursuit on the track in the age group U19 (juniors) in August 2001 in Augsburg, two in the men's area in the team pursuit in August 2007 in the Velodrom on Landsberger Allee in Berlin and in August 2006 in Cottbus . There are also four silver and three bronze medals. In addition, wearing the national jersey of the Association of German Cyclists, he won the silver medal in the team pursuit at the European Championships in Kaarst / Büttgen in 2002 and was fourth in this discipline in the Junior World Championships in Melbourne / Australia in August 2002.

His tour balance shows two stage wins. On the one hand the second stage of the Mainfranken Tour in Volkach in June 2005 and a stage of the Tour of Hungary in August of the same year. The following year he was fourth overall at the Mainfranken Tour and won the jersey of the best sprinter on the last day, similar to the Tour de la Guadeloupe in 2004, where he also won the sprint jersey.

At regional association championships he won the title of Berlin champion 18 times, 13 times that of runner-up and was third five times.
