Thomas Fothen (born April 6, 1983 in Neuss ) is a former German cyclist .
In track cycling , Thomas Fothen was German champion in team pursuit in 2002 .
After initially working for the Teag Team Köstritzer and the Sparkasse team in road cycling , he switched to ProTeam Gerolsteiner in 206 . From 2007 to 2009 he took part in the Giro d'Italia , where he did not get beyond two fourth stage places. After the dissolution of Team Milram , for which he drove in 2009 and 2010, he ended his career in 2011 with Team NSP .
Thomas Fothen is the younger brother of the former professional Markus Fothen .
