Trąbki Wielkie ( German Groß Trampken , Kashubian : Trąbczi Wiôldżé ) is a village in the Powiat Gdański (Powiat Danzig) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name
history
In 1818 Groß Trampken came to the Prussian district of Danzig and with this in 1871 to Germany . In 1887, Groß Trampken moved to the Danziger Höhe district and with this came to the Free State of Danzig in 1920 . In 1929 Groß Trampken had 506 inhabitants. Due to the invasion of Poland in 1939, the Danzig area came to the Third Reich together with the territory of the Polish Corridor , which was taken away by the Versailles Treaty in 1920, and was incorporated into the Reichsgau Danzig-West Prussia .
Towards the end of the Second World War , the Red Army occupied the region in the spring of 1945 . Soon afterwards Danzig was placed under Polish administration together with West Prussia and the southern half of East Prussia . Had not fled as far as the German citizens, they were in the period that followed expelled and replaced by Poles.
