Trai Turner Denzell (* 14. June 1993 in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Los Angeles Chargers as an offensive guard . He was previously under contract with the Carolina Panthers from 2014 to 2019 .

college

Turner attended Louisiana State University (LSU) and played college football for their team, the Tigers .

NFL

After just two seasons and 25 games for the Tigers, he decided to take part in the 2014 NFL Draft . He was selected in the 3rd round as the 92nd player by the Carolina Panthers and was able to establish himself immediately. After four games he was a starter in the position of right offensive guard . During his rookie year , he was sidelined for three games due to injury.

In 2015 he was able to maintain his high level, so he was not only listed as the fourth best guard in the league by the professional portal Pro Football Focus , which statistically records all players, but was also appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time . In addition, he was able to reach Super Bowl 50 with the Panthers , but it was lost to the Denver Broncos .

On March 4, 2020, the Panthers agreed with the Los Angeles Chargers to swap Turner players for offensive tackle Russell Okung .
