Tralopyril is a chemical compound from the azole group , which is an effective molluscicide . The compound was first patented by American Cyanamid and now by Janssen Pharmaceutica .

use

Together with an algicide , Tralopyril can be used as an underwater paint . It is as effective against animals as the metallic active substances (such as copper or zinc pyrithione ), but less toxic. The 1- (ethoxymethyl) -substituted derivative of tralopyril is the insecticide chlorfenapyr .

With a bioconcentration factor of less than 3.2, tralopyril is practically non- bioaccumulative .
