The Transon (sometimes spelled Trançon ) is a river in France that runs in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the south-eastern municipality of Alloue , generally drains in a north-westerly direction and flows into the Charente as a right tributary after around 22 kilometers in the municipality of Chatain . On its way, the Transon first crosses the Charente department and, in its lower reaches, forms the border with the neighboring Vienne department for a few kilometers , where it finally flows.
