The Trendelbach is a Klingenbach that flows into the Bühler from the right and north-east just above the village of Geislingen am Kocher in the municipality of Braunsbach in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in north-eastern Baden-Württemberg . The stream, which is less than a kilometer long, is the river's last significant inlet.

geography

course

The Trendelbach arises in the Eichwiesen corridor at about 407  m above sea level. NHN a good 200 meters south of the Braunsbacher hamlet Hergershof on the right edge of the lower Bühlertal and flows consistently southwest. For the first 100 meters or so still on the plateau, it appears to run in a drainage pipe, crosses a dirt road with a side ditch on the mountain side, whereupon at about 400  m above sea level. NHN immediately uses his wooded blade on the right slope of the Buhler Valley in Trentelberg (!). In this he falls quickly to the valley, runs on the flatter lower slope on a scree heap deposited by him, crosses a field and hiking path in a narrow forest ledge and then flows out at about 252.3  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the lowest Bühler, about 400 meters above the last weir in the river, about as much upwards from the outskirts of Geislingen.

The Trendelbach, a total of 0.8 km, from the beginning of its blade about 0.7 km long, loses almost 150 meters in altitude on the steep stretch of its course with an average bottom gradient of an impressive 220 ‰. At least in the lower slope in the area of the field path mentioned, it seems to have constant water even during the hot season.

Catchment area

The Trendelbach has a catchment area of around 0.5 km². It borders in the northwest on the plateau on that of the Kocher below the mouth of the Bühler in this, in the north in the area of the A 6 on that of the next large Kocher tributary Grimmbach . Across the southeastern watershed, water-bearing sloping channels run at most sporadically to the Bühler above. The greatest heights on the plateau in the northeast arc around the hollow of the Eichwiesen are 435 ± m above sea level. NHN .

The catchment area belongs to the sub-area Middle Kocher Valley and Lower Bühlertal of the natural area Kocher-Jagst Plains . The brook arises in the transition area between the Lettenkeuper blanket ( Erfurt formation ), which is still part of the Lower Keuper, in the area of the Kocher-Jagst plains and the Hohenloher plains , its blade then cuts into the layer package of the entire shell limestone , from the steep slope upper over the flatter Middle Muschelkalk spreading out on the slope , in which it begins its block rubble fan, to the steep trough in the Lower Muschelkalk again .

The proportion of the basin below the upper Bühlertalhangknick belongs in the upper region for the conservation area Kochertal between Schwäbisch Hall and Weilersbach with side valleys , the lower the reserve lower Bühlertal .
