The Trischen is a work ship of the State Office for Coastal Protection, National Park and Marine Protection Schleswig-Holstein .

description

The ship was built in 1983 at the August Pahl shipyard in Hamburg and put into service. It is named after the island of the same name off the coast of Dithmarschen .

The ship was used by the State Office for Coastal Protection, National Park and Marine Protection Schleswig-Holstein in the coastal protection of the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast and the offshore islands and halligen . The tasks of the ship included clearing the North Sea ports in Schleswig-Holstein and the outer depths so that the water from the hinterland can flow as freely as possible. For this purpose, the ship could be equipped with a silt harrow or a water injection device in order to stir up silt , which was then transported away with the tidal current. In addition, the ship could be used to transport coastal protection materials to the islands, Halligen and the dykes.

Behind the chimney, the ship has a loading boom with which loads can be lifted and moved.

In 2019 the ship was replaced by a new building of the same name and is now being offered for sale by Vebeg .

Technical specifications

The ship is powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine made by MAN with an output of 221  kW . The motor acts on a propeller via a gearbox . A generator powered by an Iveco diesel engine with an output of 80 kW is available to generate electricity .

The ship is fitted with a tow hook. The bollard pull is 30  kN .
