The Trischen is a work ship of the State Office for Coastal Protection, National Park and Marine Protection Schleswig-Holstein .

description

The ship was under the hull number 202 on the shipyard and shipbuilding SET. Development company Tangermünde as the last of three sister ships - equipped for different tasks - built for the state company for coastal protection, national park and marine protection Schleswig-Holstein.

The construction contract was signed on November 7, 2017. The keel-laying of the ship took place on April 13, 2018, the launch took place on March 1, 2019. The completion of the ship took place on May 20, 2019. The construction costs amounted to 5 million euros. The ship was christened on May 29, 2019 in Husum . The sponsor was the Finance Minister of Schleswig-Holstein , Monika Heinold . The ship is named after the island of the same name off the coast of Dithmarschen . It replaces the previous building of the same name from 1983.

The ship is used in the coastal protection of the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast and the offshore islands and Halligen . This includes clearing the outer depths so that the water can flow away from the hinterland as freely as possible. For this purpose, the ship is equipped with a lowerable flushing pipe with flushing nozzles, through which up to 40,000 liters of water per minute can be injected into the silt at the bottom of the lows by two pumps . The silt thrown up in this way is then transported away with the tidal current. Furthermore, the ship can also be used for the transport of coastal protection materials to the islands, Halligen and the dykes and as a tug .

The flat bottom of the hull allows the ship to fall dry in the Wadden Sea .

The ship is driven by three crew members . There are chambers on board for the crew, so that the ship can also be used for several days.

The drive is diesel-electric . For electricity generation, two generators of Scania - diesel engines of the type DI13. The two propellers are of two electric motors, each with 221  kW power driven. The ship is equipped with a bow thruster .
