Truck Branss
Truck Branss (born January 21, 1926 in Berlin ; † February 23, 2005 in Langendorf near Dannenberg ; actually Kurt Branss ) was a German radio and television director .
Life
Branss studied at the Technical University of Berlin and in 1951 was the first cameraman at Sender Free Berlin (SFB). His television career began in 1953; he initially worked for the NWDR and the SFB. From 1961 to 1989 he worked for the Saarländischer Rundfunk . In the 1960s and 1970s he made a name for himself with entertainment programs around the German Schlager , which he developed at SR. The best-known programs in which he worked as a director were the Gilbert Bécaud shows Monsieur 100,000 Volt Gilbert Becaud , various portraits in music (including with Françoise Hardy , Alexandra and Lale Andersen ) and the television show ZDF, which was first broadcast in 1969 -Hitparade with the moderator Dieter Thomas Heck , whose model was the radio program he created, Die deutsche Schlagerparade .
For ZDF, Branss staged the show The world belongs to women with Marlène Charell as the star, the show Anneliese Rothenberger does the honor and Hans Rosenthal's quiz Dalli Dalli . As a film director, Branss staged the productions Schwanensee (1966), Coppelia (1968) and … and so what is called Show (1971) and in 1964 the television series Musikauktion .
Truck Branss was considered a sponsor of the pop singer Alexandra .
