Tryggelev is a Danish town with less than 200 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2010) on Langeland . The village is located in the parish of the same name ( Tryggelev Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to the Harde Langelands Nørre Herred in what was then Svendborg . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the municipality of Tranekær in the newly established Funen Office , the municipality in turn merged with other municipalities in the municipality of Langeland , which belongs to the Syddanmark region , with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

Tryggelev is about three kilometers south of Humble , eight kilometers north of Bagenkop and about 18 kilometers southeast of Rudkøbing .

The passage graves of Kinderballe are near Tryggelev. The long dolmen of Ormstrup (also called Tryggelev Mark) is by the place.

At the time of the local government reform on January 1, 2007, 207 people lived in the village.
