The castle in Trzebiny

Construction work on the castle began around 1690. The client, Jan Melchior Gurowski, came into the possession of Treben through his marriage to Krystyna Przybyszewska and wanted to increase his reputation by building the building. In 1860 a renovation was carried out on behalf of August Ferdinand von Leesen and Gotha , since a small inner courtyard has been in the building. After the Second World War, the building fell into disrepair and was completely renovated from 1983 to 1986. Today the castle is the seat of the Regional Center for Research and Documentation of Sights in Poznan and houses an archaeological exhibition. Overnight stays are also possible there. A park of around five hectares also belongs to the castle.
