Gymnastics World Championships 1903
The first gymnastics world championships took place from 14.-18. August 1903 in Antwerp . Six competitions for men were held: all around , horizontal bar , parallel bars , pommel horse , rings and a team competition. Only France , Belgium , Luxembourg and the Netherlands took part in the first world championships .

The medals had a diameter of 28 mm. On the front of the medal is a naked man wearing a laurel wreath in his left hand and a palm branch in his right hand. A roaring lion and a tree can be seen behind him . The lapel of the medal for the winner bears the inscription / / .
