Twenty20 Cup 2019
The Twenty20 Cup 2019 (referred to as Vitality Blast for sponsorship reasons , often just T20 Blast ) was the 17th season of the English Twenty20 Championship, which took place from July 18 to September 21, 2019. In the final, the Essex Eagles were able to prevail against the Worcestershire Rapids with 34 runs.
format
The 18 first-class counties were divided into two groups with nine teams each according to regional criteria. In this group stage, each team in a group played twice against six others and once against the two remaining teams. Upon completion, the first four in a group qualified for the quarter-finals. The semi-finals were then played on one day in Birmingham , along with the final, marketed as Finals Day .
