Twenty20 Cup 2013
The Twenty20 Cup 2013 (referred to as Friends Life t20 for sponsorship reasons) was the eleventh season of the English Twenty20 Championship. The winners were the Northamptonshire Steelbacks , who prevailed in the final at Edgbaston Cricket Ground with 102 runs according to the Duckworth-Lewis Method against Surrey .
format
The 18 first-class counties were divided into three groups of six teams each according to regional criteria. In this group stage, each team in a group played twice against each other. After this, the group winners, runners-up and the two best thirds in the group qualified for the quarter-finals. The semi-finals were then played on one day together with the final, marketed as Finals Day .
