Twenty20 Cup 2014
The 2014 Twenty20 Cup (referred to as the NatWest t20 Blast for sponsorship reasons) was the twelfth season of the English Twenty20 Championship. The winners were the Birmingham Bears , who beat the Lancashire Lightning in the final at Edgbaston Cricket Ground with 4 runs .
format
The 18 first-class counties were divided into two groups with nine teams each according to regional criteria. In this group stage, each team in a group played twice against each other. Upon completion, the first four in a group qualified for the quarter-finals. The semi-finals were then played on one day together with the final, marketed as Finals Day .
