Twenty20 Cup 2011
The 2011 Twenty20 Cup (known as Friends Life t20 for sponsorship reasons) was the ninth season of the English Twenty20 Championship. The winners were the Leicestershire Foxes , who beat Somerset in the final at Edgbaston Cricket Ground with 18 runs .
format
The 18 first-class counties were divided into two groups with nine teams each according to regional criteria. In this group stage, each team in a group played twice against each other. Upon completion, the first four in a group qualified for the quarter-finals. The semi-finals were then played on one day together with the final, marketed as Finals Day .
