Ty Morris (born February 2, 1984 in Millet , Alberta ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who has been playing at EC Peiting in the Oberliga Süd since mid-2015 .

Career

Morris started in 2002 with the St. Albert Saints in the Alberta Junior Hockey League . After the season he moved on to the Swift Current Broncos in the Western Hockey League . During the season he moved to the Vancouver Giants within the league, for whom he played for two years and where he was selected in the fourth round of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft .

His next stop in the WHL were then the Red Deer Rebels , of which he moved to the ECHL for the South Carolina Stingrays after a good season for the 2005/06 season. This season he also played a game for Columbia Inferno before moving to Germany for the first time to EC Peiting in the league for the 2006/07 season. Although he was the Peitinger's top scorer that season, his contract was not renewed and he started the new season initially with a game for the Victoria Salmon Kings . But already after the first game he returned to Germany and was hired by Rote Teufel Bad Nauheim , from which he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga during the season for EV Landsberg 2000 . Half of the 2008/09 season, Morris first played at TEV Miesbach in the major league before moving to the Landshut Cannibals in the 2nd Bundesliga .

In 2012 he received German citizenship.

In the 2012/2013 season he initially played 2 games for the Ravensburger Towerstars, also in the 2nd Bundesliga. On September 28, 2012 he got a contract for a period of four weeks with EHC Red Bull Munich in the DEL , which was later extended until the end of the season.
