Tyrone Smith (athlete)
Tyrone Smith ( Tyrone Mark Eugene Smith; born August 7, 1984 in Paget Parish ) is a Bermudian long jumper .
At the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, he failed in qualifying.
In 2008 he won bronze at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships and was eliminated from the first round of the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Valencia and the Olympic Games in Beijing . Even at the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin, he did not get beyond the qualification.
In the year, a preliminary round at the Indoor World Cup 2010 in Doha was followed by a victory at the Central American and Caribbean Games and a fifth place each at the Athletics Continental Cup in Split and at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi . In 2011 he triumphed at the Central American and Caribbean Championships. At the World Championships in Daegu he was eliminated in the first round as well as the following year at the Indoor World Championships in Istanbul .
At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he was twelfth, at the 2013 World Cup in Moscow he failed again in the preliminary round, and at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow he was eighth.
In 2015 he finished fourth at the Pan American Games in Toronto and tenth at the World Cup in Beijing .
