The Arabellapark U-Bahn station is a station on the Munich U-Bahn . It is located in the Arabellapark district of the same name in the Bogenhausen district and is the eastern end of the U4 line .
The station was opened on October 27, 1988, when the gap between Odeonsplatz and Innsbrucker Ring was closed and the branch from Max-Weber-Platz to Arabellapark was opened at the same time . The U4 line went into operation to serve this branch.
The rear rail walls of the station are made of concrete to which aluminum slats are attached at an angle . The pillars in the middle are clad with light stone slabs, the ceiling with metal plates and a few lamps. The platform is laid out with granite .
At the western end of the train station you can reach Elektrastraße and a bus station via a mezzanine floor , from which several city bus routes run to the adjacent residential areas. At the eastern end, Englschalkinger Strasse can also be reached via a mezzanine floor. The Bogenhausen Clinic and the Munich tram stop of the same name are located here .
The station is the end of the U4. An extension of the U4 to the Englschalking S-Bahn station was approved as early as 1989, but due to the budgetary situation, there are no concrete statements on implementation. The tunnel used as a parking facility extends to the planned Cosimapark station.
