history

The station was built using the new Austrian tunnel construction method. The length of the shell was 614 m. It was opened on May 26, 1979 and was originally named after the Berliner Platz (now Konrad-Adernauer-Platz) and then after the Engelbert fountain . The current name, which has been in effect since 2015, refers to the Bochum pub district around the train station, known as Bermuda3eck . It is served by lines 308 and 318 of the Bochum Stadtbahn . The closest stops on the line are Bochum Hauptbahnhof and Schauspielhaus . The station has a central platform. In 2004 a handicapped accessible elevator was retrofitted.

Art in public space

Since 2004, the tunnel walls on the platform level have been designed by various groups of artists with two 110-meter-long graffiti , which are close to the terms Bermuda triangle, underwater world and adventure mile. The various areas in the public space were approved for the street socializing projects of the youth welfare office of the city of Bochum.
