Uato-Lari ( Uatu-Lari , Uatulari , Watulari ) is an East Timorese place and Suco in the administrative office of Vemasse ( municipality of Baucau ).

711 inhabitants (2015) live in Uato-Lari, of which 345 are men and 366 women. The population density is 37.4 inhabitants / km². There are 137 households in the Suco. 95% speak the “mountain dialect” of Waimaha , which is one of the Kawaimina languages , as their mother tongue . About 5% speak Tetum Prasa .

Before the 2015 regional reform, Uato-Lari had an area of ​​19.19 km². Now it is 19.03 km². The Suco is to the east of the Vemasse administrative office. To the north is the Suco Ostico , west of the Suco Caicua , south of the Suco Ossouala and southeast of the Suco Loilubo . In the east, Uato-Lari borders the Baucau administrative office with its Suco Gariuai . The Manuleiden River rises in the border area with Caicua and follows part of the border.

The larger towns of Sucos are in its southeast. Here, next to Uato-Lari, the villages Bahalale ( Bahafale ), Uaiharabo'o ( Uaiharehoo , Uaiharchoo ) and Naulale ( Naulate ) are in direct proximity to each other . The next primary school is in Suco Loilubo, in Waidu .

In the Suco are the three Aldeias Bahalale , Naulale and Uaiharabo'o .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Marcal da Costa Correia was elected Chefe de Suco. Martinho won Sebastião Freitas in the 2009 elections and Venancio da Costa in 2016 .
