Ubiretama , officially Portuguese Município de Ubiretama , is a small town and political municipality in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul . It is 499 km west of the capital, Porto Alegre . The population was estimated as of July 1, 2019 at 2015 inhabitants who live on a large community area of around 126 km² and are called Ubiretamenses ( ubiretamenses ). It ranks 436th out of 497 municipalities in the state.
geography
The congregation is located in what was previously known as the Mission Area in the hinterland of Rio Grande do Sul.
Surrounding communities are Santa Rosa , Senador Salgado Filho , Guarani das Missões , Cerro Largo , Campina das Missões and Cândido Godói . The Rio Laranjeiras flows through the village and flows south into the Rio Comandaí . The main town Ubiretama has about 1.5 km², the rest of the community area is rural area.

The city has a tropical, temperate climate, Cfa according to the Köppen and Geiger climate classification . The average temperature is 20.6 ° C. The average rainfall is 1819 mm per year, the rainfall is still high even in the southern winter.
