Uchqo'rg'on ( Cyrillic Учқўрғон , Russian Учкурган Utschkurgan ) is a county-level city and also capital of the eponymous district in the Uzbek part of the Ferghanatales in Namangan Region .

The population was 33,100 in 2004. Uchqoʻrgʻon is located on the south bank of the Naryn in the extreme northeast of the Ferghanatal. The mountains of the Ferghana Mountains rise to the east .

Uchqoʻrgʻon was raised to a town in 1969. Uchqoʻrgʻon is a railway junction. Cotton ginning and the extraction of vegetable oil are of economic importance.

Uchqoʻrgʻon is on the border with Kyrgyzstan . The Utschkorgon Dam on the Naryn is located 10 km northeast of the city in Kyrgyzstan . At Uchqoʻrgʻon, part of the river water is diverted into the Northern and Great Fergana Canal .
