Ulla Engeberg Killias (born December 19, 1945 in Stockholm ; † June 7, 1995 in Glarus ) was a Swedish painter who last lived in Switzerland .

After passing the Matura in Stockholm, she completed an apprenticeship in painting and drawing. She came to Switzerland for the first time in 1965 and studied art history and German at the University of Zurich until 1975 and completed an internship in the field of child psychology.

She married Heinrich Sattler, adopted two children with him and took on the post of senior educator in the therapeutic youth settlement Schloss Hahnberg in St. Gallen . At the same time, further training in drawing and painting followed at the Städelschule in Frankfurt and at the Wilhelmsbad-Hanau School of Design .

After the divorce from Heinrich Sattler, she married Heinz Killias in 1977 and since then has lived with him in the Miltsche Ritterhaus on Elsenerstrasse in Bilten . As a freelance painter, she was commissioned with the restoration of this listed residential building.

She joined the group Scandinavian Artists in Switzerland .

In 1985 she fell ill with leukemia . In 1986 she was invited to participate in the traveling exhibition 4 Swiss Artists in Denmark . In 1988 she created the set for the opera "Undine" by ETA Hoffmann in Mitlödi . In the same year she opened a painting studio for children, young people and adults in Netstal . In 1990 she obtained her diploma as a painting director at the Institute for Humanistic Art Therapy in Zurich. She opened a second painting studio, this time for students and teachers, in the area of ​​the municipal school in Glarus. In 1992 she started a program for painting therapy for cancer patients in cooperation with the Glarus Cancer League . In the same year she suffered a relapse of leukemia, but opened another painting studio in Zurich with Evi Forgo. Her last solo exhibition was in 1994 in Seon . Her last travels took her - still active as a painter - to El Hierro and Castagneto Carducci .

She was buried in the city cemetery of Glarus.
