Ulrich Julius Sekinger (born September 28, 1944 in Marbach am Neckar ) is a German painter and sculptor who has been based in Karlsruhe since 1976 .

Life

Ulrich Julius Sekinger was born as the son of the church painter August T. Sekinger in the Marbach district of Rielingshausen . He grew up in Lahr in the Black Forest in Baden .

Sekinger studied in the modeling class at the École des Beaux Arts with Martinez in Aix-en-Provence and at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe at the branch in Freiburg im Breisgau .

From 1973 to 1976, Sekinger was a student of Peter Dreher . After that he was a master student of Klaus Arnold , the rector of the Art Academy in Karlsruhe, until 1978 .

Ulrich Julius Sekinger is a founding member of the Karlsruhe artist group “Die Untzeitgemäße” , which was founded in 1984. In 1991 he founded the artists' association Realismus am Oberrhein, which today is called PAIR Realistic and Visionary Art by Contemporaries.
