biography

Ulrich Luder grew up in Solothurn, where he attended the canton school. After graduating from school, he studied law at the University of Zurich from 1939 to 1945 . In the Swiss parliamentary elections in 1967 Luder was elected to the Council of States and held this office until 1979, from 1978 to 1979 he was President of the Council of States .
