Ulrich Lupart
Ulrich Lupart (born November 16, 1951 in Aschersleben ) is a German politician (until 2016 DSU , now AfD ). He has been a member of the Saxon state parliament since 2019 .
Life
Ulrich Lupart is a trained heating technician . In the 1990s he started his own small printing company .
He joined the DSU in 1991. From 1994 to 2004 Lupart was state chairman of the DSU in Saxony. For a time he was also the party's federal treasurer. From 1992 he was a councilor in Oelsnitz / Vogtl for the DSU . and from 1995 district council in Vogtlandkreis . From 2002 to 2016 he was honorary mayor of the municipality of Reuth , which was incorporated into Weischlitz on January 1, 2017 . Shortly before the end of his term in office, he joined the AfD in July 2016. He was the first mayor of a German community with AfD party membership. His participation in a Pegida demonstration made headlines back in 2015 . In the same year he also appeared as a speaker at demonstrations of the citizens' initiative Wir sind Deutschland .
In the 2017 federal election he was a direct candidate for the AfD in the Vogtland district . With 26.0% of the first votes, he was second. Was elected Yvonne Magwas (CDU), which received 35.0%.
Since the local elections in Saxony in 2019 , Lupart has been a councilor for the AfD in the large district town of Oelsnitz / Vogtl. and 2nd Deputy Mayor. He was also elected as a district councilor of the AfD in the Vogtlandkreis, but split off from the AfD district parliamentary group with six other district councilors in September 2019 and has been non-attached since then.
In the state elections in 2019 , he ran in the constituency Vogtland 2 , where he was second behind Andreas Heinz (CDU, 38.2%) with 30.7% of the direct votes . He moved into the state parliament via the state list .
Ulrich Lupart is the spokesman for home and tradition of the AfD parliamentary group.
