União das Freguesias de Agualva e Mira Sintra , short Agualva e Mira Sintra is a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Sintra . The municipality represents one half of the city of Agualva-Cacém .

The municipality has 41,104 inhabitants on an area of ​​9.15 km² (figures as of June 30, 2011).

It was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Agualva and Mira Sintra . Agualva is the seat of this newly formed community.
