The União das Freguesias de Massamá e Monte Abraão is a Portuguese community ( Freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) Sintra northwest of Lisbon .

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Massamá and Monte Abraão . Massamá became the seat of the new administration.

With a population of 48,921 (as of June 30, 2011) and an area of ​​just over 3 km², one of the most densely populated municipalities in the country was created (15,854 inhabitants per km²).
