União das Freguesias do Cacém e São Marcos , or Cacém e São Marcos for short, is a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Sintra . The municipality represents one half of the city of Agualva-Cacém .

The municipality has 38,701 inhabitants on an area of ​​4.44 km² (figures as of June 30, 2011).

It was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Cacém and São Marcos . Cacém is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
