Unicode block Tagalog

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Unicode block Tagalog (English Tagalog, U + 1700 to U + 171F) contains the Baybayin script, which was used, among other things, for writing the Tagalog language. It was used from the 14th century, but fell out of use from the 17th century and is one of the four Filipino scripts (Tagalog, Hanunóo, Buid and Tagbanuwa) that were included in the Unicode standard with version 3.2.
