Université de Namur (Université de Namur; UNamur) has been the name of a French-speaking Catholic university in Namur / Belgium since 2012 . Until it was renamed in September 2012, it was called Facultés universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP), (roughly translated as University Faculties of Our Lady of Peace ).
More than 6,000 students study at UNamur, which was founded in 1831 by the Society of Jesus . The disciplines of medicine, computer science, natural sciences, economics and law are both researched and taught. The university is a founding member of the Académie Louvain , the association of French-speaking Catholic universities in Belgium.
The university consists of six faculties :
