Ute Hannig (* 1972 in Hamburg ) is a German actress .

Life

Ute Hannig studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts . In 1997 she played as Slava in Franz Grillparzer's tragedy Libussa at the Salzburg Festival (director: Peter Stein ). From 1997 to 2000 she was engaged at the Schauspiel Köln , from 2000 to 2005 at the Staatstheater Stuttgart . She worked with Stephan Kimmig , Karin Henkel , Hasko Weber and Volker Lösch , among others . In 2005 she moved to the Deutsche Schauspielhaus . Here she worked with Jürgen Gosch and Ivo van Hove, among others . She played Medea (director: Karin Henkel), Arkadina in Die Möwe (director: Alice Buddeberg) and Ada von Stetten in Zur Schöne Aussicht (director: Martin Kušej ). In the 2006/07 season she took on the role of Judith in Arthur Schnitzler's play Komödie der Verführung , in which she also appeared completely naked.

At the Staatstheater Stuttgart she appeared in the leading role of Selma in Dancer in the Dark (director: Christian Brey). At the Deutsches Schauspielhaus she played in Karin Beier's productions Pfeffersäcke in Zuckerland & Strahlende Verunters and as Corinna in Ayckbourn's comedy From now on the side of Götz Schubert , in the world climate conference by Rimini Protokoll , in Ich, das Verziefer , directed by Viktor Bodó, head sister Boll in Dürrenmatt's Die Physiker (director: Sebastian Kreyer) and in Effi Briest - but with a different text and a different melody and as Emily in Outlaw by Ayad Akhtar .

Ute Hannig and her colleagues Meyer & Kowski won the audience award for the solo evening Nirvana Seeing at the Hamburg theater festival Hauptsache frei in 2015 .

In addition, Hannig has been involved in the program committee of the “NEW HAMBURG” project since 2015.
