Uwe Kopf (born February 10, 1956 in Kaiserslautern , † January 9, 2017 in Hamburg ) was a German journalist .

Kopf lived as a freelance author in Hamburg . Most recently he wrote the TV head of the day column for BZ and Faces magazine since 2006 and for Rolling Stone since 2010 .

When lifestyle - magazine Tempo he was from 1990 to 1996 worked as a " Star columnist " and copy editor . After that he worked for the Spiegel among others . He wrote for Theo and was editor-in-chief for the magazine. He was also involved in the anniversary edition of Tempo in 2006. On January 9, 2017, Kopf died of cancer shortly after being diagnosed. He was able to finish work on his novel “The Elf Brains of the Silkworm”, so that it will appear posthumously at the end of April 2017 by Hoffmann und Campe .
