Uwe Rechberger

Uwe Rechberger (* 1971 ) is a German Protestant theologian , pastor of the Württemberg regional church and long-time director of studies at the Albrecht Bengel House in Tübingen .

Life

Uwe Rechberger studied Protestant theology in Heidelberg and Tübingen . His vicariate in Filderstadt -Sielmingen followed in 2002 . In 2005 he worked as a parish administrator in the Bernhausen church district . He then moved into the Albrecht-Bengel-Haus , first as a teaching assistant with emphasis on Old and New Testament , where he worked from 2008 to 2018 as director of studies. In 2011 he received his doctorate in Tübingen with his dissertation on the subject of From complaint to praise: Studies on the "mood change" in the individual psalms . Before he did research on psalms at the Graduate College of the Evangelical Theological Faculty in Tübingen. Since 2018 he has been pastor of the Evangelical Church Community in Walddorfhäslach .

As a volunteer, he is mainly involved in youth work and youth evangelism . From 2002 to 2007 he was a member of the board of the Evangelical Youth Organization in Württemberg . From 2002 he was initially deputy chairman of the YMCA regional association in Württemberg. In December 2006 he succeeded Volker Gäckle as chairman. He held this office until 2015. He is also a member of the board of the Working Group for Evangelical Theology (AfeT).

In November 2015 Rechberger was presented by the President of the German YMCA Association, Karl-Heinz Stengel, with the Golden World Federation Badge of the YMCA / YMCA for his voluntary commitment to young people.

Private

Uwe Rechberger is married to his wife Ulrike. The couple has three children. In Leonberg -Eltingen he came to the YMCA.
