Uwe Schulz (born December 6, 1960 in West Staaken , GDR ) is a former German football player and today's football coach .

Career

Uwe Schulz grew up in Brieselang and started playing football at the age of seven at BSG Chemie Brieselang . At the age of 14 he was delegated to the children's and youth sports school in Frankfurt (Oder) , which meant that he played for FC Vorwärts Frankfurt (Oder) . Here he was able to establish himself quickly in the GDR league and played seven times in the UEFA Cup , u. a. against Nottingham Forest and Werder Bremen . In 1987 he moved to BSG Stahl Brandenburg within the GDR league and immediately became a top performer. After four years he moved - involuntarily - after disagreements with the club manager to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . He played with Erfurt in the 2nd Bundesliga and was even able to play four more UEFA Cup games against FC Groningen and Ajax Amsterdam . Against Ajax Amsterdam he was among the goalscorers. He played in Erfurt for two years before he returned to Havelland. After engagements at FSV Optik Rathenow , SV Rot-Weiß Kyritz and Brandenburger SC Süd 05 , he returned to BSV Brandenburg in 1998 . He let his career end at Quenz, which ended after three years in June 2001.

Uwe Schulz then became a trainer. First he took over the association league reserve of SV Babelsberg 03 before returning to FC Stahl Brandenburg in 2003 . First as an assistant coach under Winfried Kräuter , from the 2003/04 season as head coach. After he resigned in spring 2005 after differences of opinion with the President Andreas Beier, he became assistant coach of the new coach Eckhart Märzke after new elections a little later . He also held this office in the 2006/07 season under his old club mate from Frankfurt and Babelsberg days, Ingo Nachtigall . From the 2007/08 season he was a coach at TSV Chemie Premnitz , but resigned at the beginning of 2009 due to differences with the club's second team. Since October 2014 he has been a goalkeeping coach under coach Jörg Heinrich at FSV 63 Luckenwalde in addition to his professional activity (contract until 2016).

He is still active in the traditional team for FC Stahl Brandenburg.

In addition to football
