Valentin Eibes

Valentin Eibes (born December 26, 1897 in Morbach ; † May 18, 1964 in Ziegenhain ) was a German politician of the NSDAP .

Life

Valentin Eibes attended elementary school in Morbach and then worked in his parents' farm. From 1916 to 1918 he took part in the First World War until he was wounded in the summer of 1918 . He then worked at the Deutsche Reichsbahn , where he rose to the position of chief goods manager.

On October 1, 1930 he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 323.710) and became the local group leader of Perl , Nennig and Besch . In June 1931 he was appointed district leader of Saarburg , an office he held until 1945. In 1932 he became a member of the Prussian state parliament . In November 1933 , March 1936 and April 1938 he was proposed for the Reichstag , but without receiving a mandate.

From January 12, 1934 until the end of the war, he was the mayor of Saarburg. When Saarburg was occupied, he was District Administrator of Birkenfeld for five days . He then settled in the Ruhr area , where he initially lived under a false name until he was arrested by the British in 1946. In 1947 he was transferred to the Dachau internment camp , then to Garmisch in 1948 . He was then extradited to Luxembourg , where he was to be tried as a war criminal. However, he was released from prison due to illness and settled in Oberbegrenzebach .

In 1950 a criminal case was launched for crimes against humanity . Eibes was in charge of the Reichskristallnacht . However , the proceedings were temporarily suspended due to the incapacity to process . Until his death in 1964, Eibes was examined annually for legal suitability, but he was unable to travel or negotiate.
