The Valouse is a river in France that runs mainly in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and only enters the neighboring region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes at its mouth . It rises in the municipality of Écrille , about two kilometers southeast of Orgelet , dehydrated generally southwest to south and empties after 42 kilometers in the municipality of Corveissat in the backwater of the hydroelectric power station of Cize - Bolozon as a left tributary of the Ain . On its way, the Valouse crosses the Jura department and briefly also the Ain department at the mouth .
