Vanessa Nicole Marano (* 31 October 1992 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Vanessa Marano is Laura Marano's sister, who is three years older . She was born in Los Angeles, where she grew up with her sister and mother, Ellen . She stood in front of the camera for the first time at the age of two and has been working for the “Stage Door Theater” ever since. She became known to a larger audience through her role as April Nardini in the series Gilmore Girls . She also had small roles in films such as The Glamor Clique: Cinderella Revenge and Senior Project . In 2011 she got the lead role of Bay Kennish in the drama series Switched at Birth , for her role she was nominated for the Teen Choice Award in 2011 and 2013. In 2016 she again played the role of April in the Netfix-produced miniseries Gilmore Girls: A New Year . Other film and television roles followed, and her work includes more than 45 productions.
